Consultancy

Understand the operation first. Then decide what should change.

Every engagement follows one process. It starts with a conversation about a business problem and only moves to delivery once the cause, the value and the scope are agreed.

01The process

Trigger → Discovery → Diagnostic → Scope → Delivery → Referral

  1. 01

    Trigger

Identify a relevant need and establish fit.

  2. 02

    Discovery

Understand goals, workflow, people, tools and constraints.

  3. 03

    Diagnostic

Establish the cause, baseline and value case.

  4. 04

    Scope

Agree outcomes, deliverables, responsibilities, price and measures.

  5. 05

    Delivery

Implement, test, train, document and hand over.

  6. 06

    Referral

Review results, capture lessons and request introductions where appropriate.

Outcome measurement sits inside Delivery and the result review. It is not a separate process.

02Discovery and diagnostic

Two different steps, with different commitments.

Discovery conversation

A conversation about what you want to improve and where the operation is getting stuck. Its purpose is to understand the need, establish whether Apprigate is a fit and agree the next step.

Diagnostic engagement

The structured work of establishing the cause: mapping the workflow, reviewing data and interviewing the people involved. It ends with findings, a baseline and a value case.

A discovery conversation is not a free audit. Substantial process mapping, data review or specialist diagnosis is scoped and priced before it begins.

03What we investigate

Problems we look into

  • Missed enquiries and slow quotation follow-up
  • Weak handoffs between people or teams
  • Repeated administration and scattered information
  • Poor visibility of what is open, late or at risk
  • Dependence on the owner for decisions and knowledge
  • Software that is paid for but underused

These are situations to investigate, not assumptions about your business.

Existing tools come first

Before recommending anything new, we look at what you already use: how it is configured, who owns it and whether the team uses it as intended. A change of process, configuration or training is often the smallest reliable intervention.

Where nothing existing fits, we may recommend integration, automation, a website or a targeted platform, or bring in a specialist partner where that is justified.

04What you may receive

Examples of outputs, set by the agreed scope.

  • Current workflow map
  • Findings, with a baseline or credible proxy
  • Prioritised improvement recommendations
  • Agreed implementation scope
  • Configured or implemented workflow
  • Training materials or SOPs
  • Handover and outcome review

These are examples, not an automatic package. What you receive depends on the scope agreed for your engagement.

05Delivery and handover

Delivery means the agreed change is implemented and tested, the people who must use it are trained, the way it works is documented, and responsibility is handed over clearly.

After delivery we review what changed against the measures agreed at scoping, and record what we learned. We obtain the client’s permission before publishing any case study or client evidence.

Support has defined responsibilities and limits, set out in the agreement. We do not offer unlimited support, and we do not begin implementation before the scope and price are agreed. We do not promise funding outcomes.

Apprigate is our public brand. The contracting entity, responsibilities and payment arrangements are stated in each agreement.

06Who it fits

Who the service fits

  • A business investing in its own operational improvement, where the owner or manager can commit time to the work.
  • An institution commissioning business support for beneficiaries, with clear objectives for each business supported.

Our promise

  • Understand the operation before recommending a solution.
  • Define the expected value before delivery.
  • Protect scope and reliability.
  • Train for adoption.
  • Leave the client more capable of running the improved operation.
